The Chantilly Cardigan

Written with beginners in mind, this pattern is an easy repeating lace design, no shaping within the body and sleeves knit in the round.

This pattern is a written pattern in English, with no charts.

GAUGE: 12 sts x 15 rows = 4” (10cm).

SUGGESTED FIBER:

Wool & The Gang - Take Care Mohair (50g/100m/109yds) Aran/Worsted Weight

Size No. 1 (xs/s) uses 6 skeins (654 yds [600m]/300g).

Size No. 2 (m/l) uses 7 skeins (763 yds [700m]/350g).

Size No. 3 (xl/2xl) uses 8 skeins (800 yds [800m]/400g).

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:

Size No. 1 (2, 3):

Bust Circ - 42” (49”, 56”), 106.5cm (124.5cm, 142.5cm).

Length - 23” (23.5”, 24”), 58.5cm (59.5cm, 61cm).

*Note: Cardigan is meant to be worn oversized, however, this is your piece and can be worn with as much or as little ease as you would like! A tip is to measure a cardigan you already own and love the fit and use that measurement for sizing.

NEEDLES:

US 11/8.0mm, 24” circular needles.

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

*Note: The sleeve is worked in the round. You can use the 24” circular needle with the magic loop method, or double pointed needles. You can also switch to a smaller 16” circular needle, if desired, once you have enough sts on your needles.
