The Stonehaven Shawl
English written pattern.
Finished measurments after blocking = 20" W x 60" L.
You can knit your shawl longer or wider if you prefer, however, this will require more fiber than listed in pattern.
GAUGE:
24 sts x 36 rows = 4” (10cm) in double seed st
NEEDLES:
U.S. size 3 (3.25mm)
(Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.)
Cable needle
YARN:
DK/Light Worsted weight (#3 / #4 Light/Medium)
Suggested Fiber:
Cascade 220 Superwash (100% super wash wool; 220 yd [200m]/3.5 oz [100g]), 7 balls.
(Please note: Of the 7 balls of Cascasde 220, 670g will be used to knit the shawl and 30g will be used to create the tassels. Be sure to keep 30g of fiber at the end of knitting if you want to add tassels.)
NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Measuring tape
Crochet hook (if adding tassels.)
