The Easy Diamond Blanket Knitting Pattern

This beginner friendly knitting pattern is a great introduction to cable knitting. Worked flat, this blanket is all knit and purl stitches with a simple cable design that you won’t even need a cable needle for (it’s that easy!), although you can totally use one if that’s what you prefer :slightly_smiling_face:

GAUGE:
19 sts x 27 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch.

Security Blanket - 20” x 30”
Baby/Stroller - 30” x 35”
Small Throw - 40” x 60”
Medium Throw - 50” x 60”
Large Throw - 60” x 60”
Crib Blanket - 45” x 60”
Twin Blanket - 66” x 90”
Double Blanket - 80” x 90”
Queen Blanket - 90” x 95”
King Blanket - 110” x 100”

SUPPLIES:
US 7/4.5mm circular needles.
(Adjust size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. Also, be sure to choose a circular needle long enough to accommodate size of blanket.)
Cable Needle (optional).
Tapestry needle.

FIBER:
#4 Medium/Worsted weight
Suggested Fiber: Lion Brand - Pound of Love (100% Premium Acrylic; 1020yd 932m/16oz 454g).
Amount used to each size: 425yds (735yds, 1690yds, 2040yds, 2625yds, 1835yds, 4295yds, 5175yds, 6160yds, 7955yds).
